On 10 June the 10-day courses have started again with a reduced number of participants and with safety and hygiene requirements. Participants are expected to follow these requirements meticulously.
Specifically, this means covering nose and mouth with a face mask in the buildings (except when meditating, in your own room and while eating), keeping a minimum distance of 1.5 m and maintaining a thorough hand hygiene.
Server are also required to wear a face mask/visor when working in the kitchen.
However, cancellation of scheduled courses is possible at any time if the situation worsens again.
At the moment only applicants can be accepted who:
• are resident in Germany or Austria
• do NOT belong to any risk group
• who have not yet taken a course in 2020
The non-centre courses in Hausham and Bad Wurzach cannot take place in summer 2020.
1-day courses, as well as children courses cannot take place either.
If you would like to apply for a course, please register again on our website. You will also find information about the new registration process there.
Vipassana means to see things as they really are. During a ten-day course, participants train to heighten their concentration and perception, in order to use them for a deep look at their own physical and mental reality. This exercise gradually develops one's wisdom and equanimity. Negative behaviour patterns, like for example tension, anger, greed and impatience can be diminished step by step, and positive qualities like balance, tolerance, generosity and compassion can be developed.
A course in Vipassana offers the opportunity to learn this art of living, which is also invaluable in everyday life.
In the course schedule of the meditation centre in Triebel there are usually two ten-day courses offered each month.
These courses are taught by assistant teachers of S.N. Goenka, the founder of the Vipassana International Academy in Igatpuri, India.
There are no charges for the courses, not even for food and accommodation. All expenses are covered by donations from people who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the opportunity to also benefit.
You can apply for a course by clicking on apply in the course schedule. If you wish to have more information, please contact the meditation centre.
note: more information for old students after the login.
